As mentioned in my previous post, I spent several days sightseeing with Mark and his wonderful family. On Thursday the 26th, we hiked Diamond Head. Diamond Head is a crater to the east of Waikiki, with a peak overlooking the ocean. We got there early just as it was opening, and even then it was busy, but not overly so. The hike only took a couple hours, but involved some steep parts and many stairs.
From the top, the crater formation is very easy to see. However from inside the valley it just looks like some hills surrounding you.
There is a bunker at the top, mostly inside the mountain. The trail goes through the bunker to get to the observation area on the top, where you can see around for miles.
This cave reminded me of some of the lines in Disneyland, where my family was and I was not.
