One of the challenges to installing the SSB Radio is that the radio itself is large and heavy. I wouldn't mount in any of the usual places. I am not a cabinet maker, but found myself making a new cabinet for it. Since I am not a cabinet maker, I used plywood instead of teak. It looks fine I think, but is a different color from the rest of the wood. And I made it for less than $50, whereas teak would have been a few hundred at least. It is plenty strong, and won't be exposed to the elements so I don't see any problem with it.

The finished cabinet with the radio installed. The color is different, but I think is looks fine. I still need to install the rest of the electronics (Antenna Tuner, backstay insulators etc.) but I am good with that stuff. The cabinet is what I was most concerned about.
